They married May 19, 1982 and lived in South Korea and had 2 children John and Pamela Stroh. He then returned to Elliott, ND to raise his family. Terry loved his childhood home. He became the mayor of Elliott for a time where he raised money to help improve on the Elliott city park by adding a picnic area and a basketball court for families to enjoy. Family and friends knew him to be kind natured, easy-going, and always up for a good laugh and time to chat. He was always welcoming to anyone and friendly. He loved his radios, his books, hunting, taking his family on trips, and loved trying the latest new gadgets. He loved his electronics and was an electronic technician in Valley City. He then opened an electronic repair shop in Lisbon but moved on to work in LaMoure at the Naval Radio Transmitter Facility where he retired.
