Mrs. Tesia Joan Nutt McCormick, age 65, of Franklin passed away June 26, 2025.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Prestridge officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Monday afternoon from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Mrs. McCormick was born March 26, 1960 in Heard County to the late Laverne Nutt and Annie Mae Teal McCormick. Her mother later married Floyd McCormick, who was a loving father in her life.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She adored her Christian brothers and sisters and loved attending church services for worship and fellowship. Her Christian love for others showed through, as she was always willing to help anyone in their time of need.
She loved all animals and tried to find a home for any stray she encountered. She especially loved horses and would go for a ride in the country to enjoy every moment she could in the great outdoors. Another of her favorite pastimes was going to yard sales to find the best deals and the most unusual stuff.
Survivors include: her husband, Marvin McCormick; her children: Cassey McKenzie, Lexi McCormick (Kyle Fomby), Sunshine McCormick, Seth McCormick, and Eddie McCormick; three grandchildren: Caden Lindsey, Tinlee McCormick, and Raelee McCormick; her step-father, Floyd McCormick; one brother, Mack Nutt (Lynn); and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Chad McCormick, and a grandson, Clayton Fomby.
