Thelma Hurt Quint, 65, of Boonville, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at New Life in Christ Ministries at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday. Services will be livestreamed at 2:00 PM at https://www.facebook.com/htmayfuneralhome. Thelma Lauri Hurt Quint was born on March 25, 1960, in Columbia, Missouri. She was the third child born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Hurt Sr. Thelma worked in various places throughout her life, with her last place of employment being Ashley Manor in the Dietary Department. She retired from work due to health issues. Thelma had a great love for her church and the Lord. Every Sunday and Wednesday night, you could find her there. Thelma and her beloved husband, James Earl Quint, were together for 50 years and married for 42 of those years. From this union, they had two children: Teeyauka Blodgett and James E. Hurt. They also adopted a daughter, Dr. Lori Weekley. Thelma loved family gatherings. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, James Earl Quint of the home; one loving daughter, Teeyauka Blodgett (Daniel) of Boonville, Missouri; one loving son, James E. Hurt of Boonville, Missouri; one adopted daughter, Dr. Lori Weekley of Boonville, Missouri; and five grandchildren: Keshon, Sabriya, Kenden, Alana, and Londyn. She is also survived by one sister, Ophelia Thorton of Boonville; two brothers, Henry P. Hurt (Theresa) of Boonville, Missouri, and James Hurt of Boonville, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Hurt Sr.; her stepfather, James Coleman; one sister, Valerie Moore; and one brother, Terry Hurt.
