Theresa Kirst, 89, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at Belgium Senior Living.

She was a faith filled woman who possessed strength, grace and joy even as she went into her final moments laughing and singing and enjoying each day.

She was born on April 23, 1936 in Random Lake, WI, a daughter of the late Ivo and Martha (Hansen) Thomas.

Theresa attended grade school at St. Mary's Catholic School and Random Lake High School. She was the big sister to six brothers. Not a week went by where she didn't speak of her brothers. She loved them all dearly.

In her younger years, Theresa worked at Allen Edmonds Shoe Factory until her and Eugene moved to Fremont where they owned and operated Gene's Resort fulfilling their dream. After retiring from the resort, they moved to New London and continued to live along the Wolf River, where they both spent many years enjoying life. They also enjoyed numerous camping trips including one month long camping trip to Alaska. From New London they moved back to the area, settling in Plymouth to be near family.

Theresa enjoyed camping, boating, cooking, knitting, crocheting, tatting, doing volunteer work and doting on her dogs and cat. She always strived to learn new things. Theresa was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
