Thomas "Tommy" Annillo, a spirited and cherished soul, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Smiths Station, Alabama, at the age of 62. Born on August 22, 1962, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Tommy was a man of passion and dedication, known for his love of life and the simple joys that make each day special.
Tommy grew up in Jersey City, the beloved son of George Annillo and Barbara Buckman. His early years were filled with the hustle and bustle of city life, which shaped his resilient and adventurous character.
Tommy was a devoted husband to his spouse, Jo Ann Holl. Their partnership was a testament to love and mutual respect, and together they navigated the waters of life with grace. Tommy's family was a cornerstone of his existence. He is survived by his loving spouse, Jo Ann of Smiths Station, AL, and his four siblings, George Annillo, George Howard (Marie), John Annillo (Donna), and Georgette Napier. Tommy's memory will also be cherished by a host of relatives and friends who were touched by his generous spirit and infectious laughter.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Cronsell, Joe Cronsell, Arthur Annillo, and Richard Annillo, Tommy is now reunited with them in a place of peace and eternal joy. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his legacy of warmth, kindness, and exuberance lives on.
Tommy's entrepreneurial spirit led him to Miami, FL, where he established a successful Marine Detailing business, channeling his love for the water into a thriving career. Later, he would share his love for food and community by opening "Annillo's," a restaurant that quickly became a favorite gathering spot in Smiths Station.
Tommy's life was one of motion and excitement. He found joy in the roar of a Harley Davidson, the thrill of riding side by side, and the serenity of boating. His travels took him to many places, but he always carried a piece of his home with him. Tommy's heart was never lonely, thanks to the companionship of his beloved dogs, Shadow, Merlin, Buttercup, Blue, and his pet parrot, Peanut, who were a constant source of love and amusement.
A service to honor Tommy's life will be held at a later date, where those who knew him can come together to share stories, laughter, and memories. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Columbus Hospice for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
Thomas "Tommy" Annillo lived a life full of passion, and his absence will be profoundly felt. However, the imprint he left on this world through his business achievements, his love for his family, and his zest for life's adventures will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Tommy's journey through life was a testament to living fully, loving deeply, and leaving behind a trail of smiles and heartfelt memories.
