Thomas Carr Obituary
Born in Ann Arbor, MI, to the late Allen and Anne (Fraser) Carr, Tom was a graduate of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School and Seneca High School. He worked over 20 years as sales manager at Toyota of Louisville, a place he said, "is family, and I couldn't find a better place to work every day." Tom loved golf, U of L Women's Basketball, landscaping; and was particularly proud of his daughter, Lauren, the teacher with a "heart of gold."
He volunteered in her classrooms at Parkwood Elementary and Silver Creek Elementary, where he was beloved and known as "Mr. Dad." He also loved spending time with his granddaughter, Izzy, who was his "pride and joy."
He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Carr; his stepdaughter, Anna Graff; his siblings, Karen Schenkenfelder, Charlie Carr, and Valerie Schneider (Jack); his aunt, Irene Shaughnessy; his grandchildren, Izzy, Daphne, Pearson, and Madison; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Tom's visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
His funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 (so his Toyota of Louisville co-workers can go to the lot afterwards) at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Burial will take place on Monday (St. Patrick's Day) in Calvary Cemetery.
