Thomas Milam III Obituary

Graveside service for Thomas “Tommy” Leake Milam III, age 78, of Talco, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Talco Cemetery with Bro. Glen Griffith officiating. Marshal Durant, Joseph Durant, Kurt Carruthers, Matthew Milam, Brad Rolf, and Thomas Milam will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Mr. Milam passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Thomas Leake Milam III was born on February 1, 1947, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Thomas L. and Clarene (Jones) Milam. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Tommy was the owner of Milam Glass & Mirror in Mount Pleasant, Texas for 16 years. He served as a dedicated preacher at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Steadman of Pittsburg, TX, his son, Thomas Milam of Mt. Pleasant, TX, his son, Matthew Milam of Mt. Pleasant, TX, his sister, Debbie Coats, his granddaughter, Brittany Sharp of Pittsburg, TX, his grandson, Aaron Steadman of Lockhart, TX, his grandson, Kurt Carruthers of Mt. Vernon, TX, his grandson, Marshal Durant of Mt. Pleasant, TX, his grandson, Joseph Durant of Mt. Pleasant, TX. He is also survived by his 4 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L. and Clarene Milam, his wife, Paula Milam, and his brother, Edward Milam.
