Thomas Thompson Obituary

Thomas O. "Tom" Thompson, 61, passed away July 1, 2025 at his home in Painesville. He was born October 5, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joan (Dombrowski) Thompson and the late Thomas O. Thompson.
Tom enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known for his famous sausage gravy. He also was in charge of the smoker for the annual family reunions. He loved his dog Cheyenne and all other pets, including the neighbor's dog who waited for his treat when Tom got home. He enjoyed making bird houses and giving them to family and friends. Tom worked in construction and was self-employed. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 490 and Painesville Elks Lodge #549 and the American Legion.
Tom is survived by his mother, Joan (Dombrowski) Thompson; brothers Jim (Linda) Thompson, Steve (Jodye) Thompson and Dale Thompson; step-sister, Melissa (Heath) Jackson and her daughter, Aubrey; nephews Scott (Brittany), Jesse and Cody; nieces, Kahla, Merissa, Joanne, Ashley, Shelby, Cora and Hallie; great nieces, Addison, Bella, Melody, Lilly, Sadie & Raelynne and great nephews, Gavin, Carson, Colton and Parker. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; sister, Cindy Thompson and nephew, Jimmy Thompson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 12th from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
