Tillet Craven “TC” Bordeaux, Jr., 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1942 to Tillet Craven Bordeaux, Sr. and Julie Hayes Bordeaux. Although the second of three sons, he aptly was named the junior since he inherited his dad’s quiet, peaceful demeanor. After graduating Tar Heel High School, he advanced his education at Miller Motte College, earning a business degree. He was employed with Clark Tractor, Daniel’s Construction and Houston’s Peanuts, as well as serving many years as a Bladen Co. deputy sheriff. T.C. developed talents in woodworking, so he founded and operated Bordeaux’s Carpentry Service.
T.C. admired the beauty of nature and loved family picnics. He liked to share his love of music, mostly country and gospel, with children and grandchildren – even teaching two granddaughters to play guitar. T.C. took pleasure in his peaceful country life and he could often be found gardening or tinkering in his workshop. Other favorite pastimes included watching TV westerns and reminiscing over his photograph collection. He loved the Lord, and his steadfast demonstration of faith and enduring love remain as an inspiration for his family until we join him in glory.
TC leaves behind his daughters: Sharon Burney (Kristy) and Sandra Smith (Gilmore); grandchildren: Alicia Marie Burney Meshaw (Joey), Kerry Burney Jackson (Wesley), Julianna Burney Mulleady (Kyle), Lisa Shampine (Dwight), Alexia Foster, Samantha Harris; great-grandchildren: Cadence Burney, Gavin Meshaw, Gabriel Burney, Darvany Jackson and Alanna Shampine. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Grady Bordeaux and Harold Bordeaux.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am-11:45am on Thursday, July 31st at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service at 12pm. Reverend Warren Hill will be officiating service. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin.
