Timothy Harrington Obituary

Timothy Paul Harrington, son of Thomas Paul Harrington and Marjorie Zimmerman, passed away unexpectedly on March 29th, 2025. Tim was born in Columbus, Ohio, on August 20th, 1950, and resided briefly in Texas and Georgia before settling in Sylva, NC for the past 20 years. He and his wife, Marie, were married on November 15th, 1996, and shared a life of scuba diving, bird watching, and going for long walks. He was a great storyteller and loved to share them with anyone who would listen.

Marie describes Tim as “The love of my life” with a kind, caring, funny, and clever spirit and said he was the most handsome man she had ever met. His love for her was evident by the various post-it notes he left around the house to remind her how perfect she was for him.

In Marie’s words, “Tim Harrington was the most wonderful man in my life, other than my four brothers. Tim was always good to- me. HE LOVED ME, I KNOW, and I LOVED HIM!”
