Timothy Owen Pfortmiller, 73, of Lowell, Ark., was born on May 20, 1952, in Russell, Kansas, to Leonard C. and Lorine D. Pfortmiller. He died on Aug. 6, 2025, in Springdale, Arkansas, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Timothy was a carpenter, an architectural draftsman, and a brakeman/switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing the guitar, reading, and sitting outside on his porch. Timothy had a creative heart, showing his wit in poems or songs. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell and enjoyed discussing theology with his pastor.

He is survived by his wife Diane; siblings Richard Hite and wife, Renne, Yolonda Moll and husband, Randy, Phillip Pfortmiller, and Mathew Pfortmiller; children Chad Pfortmiller and wife, Amy, Darcy Pfortmiller, Annalise Rafferty and husband, Sean, Julie Queen, Micah Pfortmiller, Kristy Lenker and husband, Chad, Katie James and husband, John, Jesse Pfortmiller and wife, Stephanie, and Michelle Pfortmiller; twenty-seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell, Arkansas, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 with Pastor Chuck Huebner officiating. Burial and graveside services with the family will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025 in the Lutheran Cemetery at Natoma, Kansas.

Memorials may be designated to Grace Lutheran Church in Lowell, Arkansas, or to the charity of your choice.
