TIMOTHY WAYNE “SENIOR” ARMSTRONG
REHOBETH… Timothy Wayne “Senior” Armstrong, a resident of Rehobeth, Alabama passed away early Tuesday morning, September 24, 2024. He was 52.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Sister Brenda Yon officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Avon, Alabama. Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at his son’s residence, 50 Porter Drive, Rehobeth, Alabama 36301. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) – American Lung Association, P.O. Box 43263 Vestavia, Alabama 35243, www.lung.org.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Dothan, Alabama to Joseph Jessup Armstrong and the late Darlene Mills Richie. He was a 1990 graduate of Headland High School. He was medically retired from the Florida Department of Corrections as Corrections Officer Sargent. He had previously lived in Headland, Dothan, and Cottonwood, before moving to Rehobeth, Alabama. He was a member of the Rocky Branch Congregational Holiness Church in Midland City, Alabama. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan.
Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by his son, Infant Armstrong and his brother, Joel Armstrong.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Michelle Armstrong; his son, Tim “Timmy” Armstrong (Macy); his granddaughter, Oakley Armstrong; his step-daughter, Whitney Smith; his step-sons, Patrick Smith and D.J. Richardson; his father, Joseph Jessup Armstrong, Sr. (Beulah); his brother, David Armstrong (Becca); his sister-in-law, Christie Armstrong; his several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his best friend, Tony Bowen.
Serving as active pallbearers will be his former co-workers from Florida Department of Corrections.
