Tina Blackman Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 11, 2025.
Tina Marie Blackman, 68, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formally of Charlotte, NC, passed away on July 9th, 2025 after a long illness.
Tina was the daughter of the late Joseph Groves and Mildred Hoyle Groves.
In addition to her parents, Tina has been reunited with her husband, James Terry Blackman, her son James Scott Blackman, her sister whom she loved very much, Ann Blackman, brother-in-law Billy Blackman, sister-in-law Bobby Blackman Holland, her nephews Matt Blackman and Joe Stancil, and her great-nephews Matthew Puckett and Wyatt Stancil.
Tina will be laid to rest beside Terry and Scott at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving son and #1 caregiver Zachary Cody Blackman, her nieces and nephew Tracy, Beverly, Chrisie, Stephanie, Ricky, her favorite nephew-in-law Rusty, whom she affectionately referred to as "Ed", many other great and great-great nieces and nephews, and her lifelong friend Barry Baker.
Tina will be remembered for her quick wit, her love of family and her unwavering love of animals. She enjoyed old movies and was often quoting them and elaborating on their characters and history. She loved good dance music and was quite the dancer back in her younger days.
Although Tina struggled with many health issues throughout her later years, she was extremely tough and remained strong and brave up to her last day.
Zachary would like to thank Tina's special caregiver, Brenda who cared for her during her illness. She is appreciated more than she knows.
Zachary and Chrisie would also like to thank Josh and Goldfinch Funeral Home for the care and compassion received during this difficult time.
In memory of Tina, a donation can be made to your local animal shelter.
