Todd Lawson Obituary

Todd William Lawson, affectionately known as "Tinker" and "Pap Todd", age 53, of New Marshfield, Ohio, passed away on June 25, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born on August 16, 1971, Todd was a proud 1990 graduate of Alexander/Tri-County. A skilled block layer and true jack of all trades, Todd could fix just about anything- and often did. Whether working on a project or simply tinkering around, he found joy in keeping his hands busy. His work can be seen in buildings and homes around Athens County- strong, steady, and built to perfection.
Known for his calloused hands, he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and an ever-curious mind. Todd was a man who believed in keeping your word and never leaving a job half done. When he wasn't on the job site, he could be found spending time with his children, grandkids, and family. Whether it be at a family cookout or on the mower with his grandkids.
Above all, Todd was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. He treasured time with his family, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him. Known for his carpentry skills, quiet wisdom, and love for his family, he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and hard work.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Lawson and his loyal companion/dog Precious.
Todd is survived by his father, Dorsey Lawson; his greatest joys, his children Raven (Aric) Russell, Hunter (Abby) Lawson; grandchildren Rhett Russell, Averie Russell, and another granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Tracy (LD) Stover, Rick (Cheryl) Lawson, Tawny (Jim) Jeffers, and Rusty Lawson. Niece Heather Pack, nephew Brandon Stover, and close great-nieces Sophia, Mackenzie, Brylie, and Jaydia, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends, and significant other Samantha Llewellyn. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rest easy, Tinker. Your hands built more than walls - they built a life full of love and meaning.
Funeral service and visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home in Albany, Ohio. Viewing hours will be 11:00am-2:00pm with the funeral starting at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at New Marshfield Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the man who meant so much to so many.
