Tommy Ray Manning, 79, of Buna died Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home in Buna.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 30, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm prior to service.
Tommy was born March 5, 1946 in Silsbee to Thomas Isadore and Atrill (Whitehead) Manning was a retired welder with Pipefitters Local 798 with 59 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Blue Lodge Masonic Lodge. He travelled all over the country and out of the United States working pipelines and welding. He his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved all of his family - many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He grew up like a brother to the younger ones. In his later years, he loved his dogs, Blondie, Pepper, Sally and Pepper - they were all his buddies.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Frances Manning of Buna; a sister, Faye Strickland and Lewis of Buna; a a niece, Elexia Strickland and Buddy of Houston; brother-in-law, James Reue; sisters-in-law, Doris Dixon, Betty Peters and David, Laurie Kosh and Charles; uncles Marvin Whitehead and Mary and Jerry Whitehead and Mary; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William "Billy" Manning.
