Tommy James Woodard, 55, Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, June 29 2025, in Columbia.
Born November 12, 1969, in Kokomo, Indiana. He was the son of Bishop Charles Woodard, Jr. and Ruby May (Green) Woodard. On August 13, 2007, in Kokomo, Indiana, he was married to the former Laura Lea Whittaker, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Laura Woodard, Columbia, Mo, he is survived by his father, Bishop Charles Woodard, Jr. and wife, Sonia, Kokomo; four children, Jammie Buntyn, Jr., Sasha Buntyn, Joshua Buntyn, and Lauren Smiley; grandchildren, Amari James Woodard, Raheem Smiley, and Sia Smiley; siblings, Charles “Bay Bay” Woodard III, April Woodard, and Ron Woodard.
Tommy was a graduate of Kokomo High School.
A time of visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Disciples of Christ, 1518 North Faith Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jack Woodard officiating. A service celebrating the life of Tommy will begin at 11:00 a.m.
