Tonya J. Reetz, age 35, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 from injuries received in motorcycle accident in Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey.
She was born May 27, 1990 in Neenah the daughter of Bryan and Jayne (Wrysinski) Reetz. Tonya was Valedictorian of the Westfield High School class of 2008. She graduated from Ripon College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Management and Biology. Tonya studied at the University of Rochester- Simon School of Business in Rochester, New York obtaining her Master’s Degree. While in New York, she was employed at the Outdoor Group for several years. Later, she moved to Kings Mountain, North Carolina where she worked for the Parker Hannifin Corporation of Greeneville, TN. She was soon promoted to Controller for the Chelsey Division.
Tonya loved playing softball and was instrumental in starting teams while residing in Rochester, New York and Greeneville, TN. She also enjoyed running, marathons and her dog, Apollo and feline companions. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Tonya lived with Bernard-Soulier Syndrome throughout her life but never let that define or prevent her from doing her best in life.
She is survived by her father, Bryan R. Reetz, Neshkoro; her mother, Jayne M. Reetz, Wautoma; one brother, Taylor (Casey) Reetz, Oshkosh; three nephews: Elliott, Oliver and Archie Reetz; her Goddaughter and niece, Quinn Reetz; her boyfriend, Tyler George, Olive Branch, MS; uncles and aunts: Wesley (Pam) Reetz, Neshkoro, Bruce (Cindy) Reetz, Cedarburg, Brenda (Kevin) TenHaken, West Bend, David (Ann) Wrysinski, Wautoma, Thomas (Ruth) Wrysinski, Wausau, Sue (Rusty) Grimm, Wautoma; best cousins, Ariel (J.L.) Cox, Houston, TX, Heather (D.J.) Gollwitzer, Port Washington; special friends, Bill “Uncle Bill” Nelson, Neshkoro; her “2nd Dad” Pete Steuck, Montello; dear friend, Mary Krause, Neshkoro. She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Tonya is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Russell and Elberta Reetz and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Olga Wrysinski.
Visitation will be held on from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Charles Schultz officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by Tonya’s family.
