Towona "Tawni" Lou Davis-Cumbow, age 74, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Friday, January 24th, 2025, at Holzer of Jackson. She was born March 21st, 1950, in Wellston, Ohio, to the late John Wesley Barlow and Elsie Ruth (Rowland) Barlow.
Towona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was the former business owner of A&B Sanitation Inc. She devoted 25 years of her life to the business.
She is survived by her three sons: Garry (Penny) Montgomery Jr. of Grove City, Ohio, Tim (Cheryl) Montgomery of Jackson, Ohio, and Mark (Beth) Davis of Columbus, Ohio; her stepchildren: Kristine (Andrew) Brickner, Todd (Suzanne) Cumbow, and Lindy (Dwight) Davis. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Deborah White of Florida; sister-in-law, Margaret Barlow of Wellston, Ohio; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Towona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 12 years, Major Daniel Jackson Cumbow, a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew, John, Richard, and Paul Barlow; sisters, Sylvia Landrum, Ruth Ann Baker, Rosie Mae Barlow, and Leah Williams.
Per her wishes, her body was cremated. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 11AM-12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a memorial service beginning at 12PM with Pastor Joseph Arata officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Salem Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to .
