Tracy Herrell, of Brighton, passed away on June 27, 2025. She was 50 years old.
She graduated from Brighton High School, class of 1993. She was self-employed and published several books on cryptozoology and presented programs on cryptozoology and paranormal. She was known as Shetan Noir and was a well-endorsed speaker.
She is survived by her parents, Randy & Sharon, and two brothers, Richard (wife Connie), Tom, and a super nephew Dylan, whom she was so proud of.
She was known as:
**Shetan Noir** is a Michigan-based author, researcher, and journalist, specializing in fields of paranormal studies, cryptozoology, and paganism.
She was the head writer of **Squatch Monsters**.

I'm shocked and very sad to learn this. My most sincere condolences to her family. She was my first bellydance teacher, at Practical Magick. We had a blast! She was a great teacher. Rest well, dear friend.
