Trent A. Newman, 71 of Nelsonville OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Kobacker House in Columbus Ohio.
He was born in Nelsonville OH on January 15, 1954, to the late Robert Newman and Shirley North.
He is survived by his daughters, Dusty (Darryl) Taylor of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Sarah Newman of Covington, Ohio and Melissa (Vance) McCulla of St. Paris, Ohio; stepson, Brian (Daisy) Mohney of New Lexington, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Christi (James) Lanning of Carbon Hill, Ohio, Bobbie Rosser-Call (Simmy) of Salt Springs, Florida, Jacque Newman of Hurricane West Virginia, Candy (Edward) Berube of Salt Springs, Florida; step-siblings, Anissa (Mick) Roesner of Kenton, Ohio, and Duane (Cheryl) Lanning of Urbana, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Newman and Shirley North-Engle; stepmother, Linda Newman; and brothers-in-law, Kim Rosser and Hubert Call.
He served in the U.S Army and worked in construction. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Amvets.
Trent loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping, fishing, cooking, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio.
