Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home, 26 Brentwood Place, Forsyth, Georgia. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, 525 Hwy. 83 South, Forsyth, Georgia. Service is scheduled to be Streamed Live on our Facebook page.

Public viewing will be Friday, August 15, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. keep the family in prayer.

Tyniski Shuwan Lockett was born August 2, 1978 to John Wesley Lockett and the late Hazell Yvette Henderson Lockett. Longing to see her Mother again, she answered the Master's call on Monday, August 11, 2025, 41 days after her Mom's transition.

Tyniski being the only child of Locket and Yvette, she grew up showered with love, affection and attention. She joined the St. James Baptist Church at an early age and attended Sunday School, Bible School and participated in the youth activities. As an adult she attended the various churches of her Mother's membership.

Tyniski graduated from Mary Persons High school in 1997. She further her studies and graduated from Fort Valley State University in 2002 with a Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice . She worked with Child Protective Service at the Bibb County Department of Children Services, Macon, Georgia. She did extensive studies at Macon State Prison in Oglethorpe, Georgia to become a Correctional Officer. As a Correctional Officer, she was employed by the Barnesville Detention Center and Jackson State Prison.

Tyniski loved Marching Music and to see Marching Bands perform. She got a kick out of seeing their performance at the Battle of the Bands with family and friends. She inherited her strict work ethic from her Mom and always maintained employment in order to remain self-sufficient until her health fail fourteen years ago. From that time until July 1, 2025. She was with her Mom who was her primary care giver. They remained together until her Mom was called home to be with the Lord. Along her life's journey she acquired friends that are loyal to her until now and she will solely be missed by her high school and college classmates as well as her co-workers and friends.

Left to cherish her precious memory is her father, John Wesley (Lana) Lockett of Jackson, Georgia. Sisters: Dominique Harden of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Dorianna Lockett and Joanna Goss of Forsyth, Georgia; Aunts: Nellie Grace Lockett of Macon, Georgia; Ada Mae Lockett of Forsyth, Georgia and Minnie B McMullen. Uncles: Harold Lockett of Athens, Georgia; Cecil (Juanita) Henderson of Forsyth, Georgia. Sister/Cousin Sherronia(Jonathan) King of Atlanta, Georgia; Cousin Roderick (April) Henderson of LaGrange, Georgia; Bonus Cousin Katrina (Frank) Wise of Commerce, Georgia; Her loving Cat Miracle who has safely settle into a loving new home, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends
