Vera Elaine Burge, 71, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, July 21 from 10am-11am at Newlin Cemetery. Graveside service will be Monday, July 21 at 11am at Newlin Cemetery.
Vera is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dozier of DeRidder, LA; two sons, Cody Edwards & Paulette of Singer, LA and John Flack of DeRidder, LA; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six sisters, Helen "Sugarfoot" Wilson of DeRidder, LA, Mary Lou Thompson of DeQuincy, LA, Yvonne Darlene Burge of DeRidder, LA, Emma Viola Lawrence & EJ of Hammond, LA, Arlene Ruth Brister & Larry of DeRidder, LA, and Barbara Ellen Clark & Danny of DeRidder, LA; two brothers, Louis Lynn Burge & Linda of Evans, LA and David Eugene Burge & Mary of Marietta, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Serena Burge; son, Jodie William Edwards; sister, Alice Faye Poisson; and great-granddaughter, Jersey Edwards.
