Funeral services for Vernie Sharlene "Shane" McNeil, age 69, of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be 2:00PM, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Jimbo Herring officiating. Interment will be in the Kilbourne Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00PM - 9:00PM at Cox Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jay Haskell McNeil; husband, Jon Haskell McNeil; parents, Kenneth Ray Thornhill and Carleen Collum Thompson.
Shane is survived by her daughter, Crystal LaShane Davis of Oak Grove, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Jacob McNeil and wife Stormy, Anthony McNeil, Jon McNeil and wife Venaleeann, Shelby Sumrall and husband Shelton, Hayden McNeil, Cryslynn Davis, Blane Davis; 10 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Kevin Creech of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Sharon Thornhill of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Robert Morgan of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Matthew Schulte of Altoona, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Blane Davis, Brock Allred, Shelton Sumrall, Jon McNeil, Jacob McNeil, Chris Culpepper.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Morgan, Jimmy Ray Morgan, Randy Thornhill, Randall Thornhill, Hayden McNeil, Anthony Morgan.
