Vickey Sue Dudgeon of Norman, Oklahoma was born on November 28, 1953, in Elk City, Oklahoma to Laverne Frank Schneberger and Helen Marie Treadway Schneberger. She won her battle against cancer on the morning of July 5, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Vickey grew up on a farm west of Burns Flat and attended Catholic grade school at Canute. She graduated from Burns Flat High School as well as Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. She retired from the University of Oklahoma as a very successful Program Manager.
Vickey married her high school sweetheart, Terrance Michael Dudgeon on June 15, 1974, in Elk City. They started dating in 1971 but later found out their relationship had it's beginning much earlier. By chance one day while preparing to apply for their first passports, they noticed they had both been born less than two months apart in the same hospital in Elk City and delivered by the same doctor. Surely God intended for them to be together. During their marriage of over 51 years, they lived in Burns Flat, Weatherford, Mission Viejo California and Woodbury Minnesota before returning to Oklahoma in 2002 to their current residence in Norman. No matter where we lived, Vickey made sure our home was Christian based and full of love, acceptance and good food.
Vickey and Terry raised two wonderful sons, Sean Michael Dudgeon and Kyle Barret Dudgeon. They provided much support, love and comfort to her during these final days.
Vickey was a staunch conservative and a pro-life champion. She was fiercely protective of her grandchildren, strong in her faith and had a love for her Savior Jesus Christ. Vickey made friends easily and forgave others willingly. She loved going to mass, chocolate, playing bunco, yearly vacations to Florida and attending classic rock concerts with Terry. She was the matriarch of the Dudgeon family and will be missed greatly. Her final wish was for her children and grandchildren to have a personal relationship with our God and someday join her in Heaven.
Vickey was predeceased by her parents and brother Michael Schneberger.
She is survived by her husband Terry of the home, sons Sean and Kyle both of Norman and her grandchildren Madelynn Noel Dudgeon, Cole Michael Dudgeon and Charlie Jean Dudgeon all of Norman as well.
Additionally, Vickey is survived by her sister Toni Brinkley, and brothers Martin Schneberger, Glen Schneberger, Larry Schneberger, Greg Schneberger, Kent Schneberger, Brent Schneberger, and Mike Brown as well as a very large extended family.
