Kenneth Woods Obituary

Kenneth "Wayne" Woods passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 73, in Gray, Georgia. His daughters were by his side. Wayne was born on May 9, 1952, in Douglasville, Georgia, to Carolyn Taylor Woods and Robert Charles Woods Sr. He was raised on his family's land, where he learned the values of faith and hard work that guided him throughout his life. Wayne enjoyed bass fishing, golf, woodworking, and Georgia Bulldogs football, and he especially valued time spent with family. A committed member of the Douglasville Seventh-day Adventist Church, Wayne served as head elder with devotion. He was known for his signature sense of humor and steady presence. Wayne is survived by his daughters, Rachel Leigh Teruya and Amanda Nicole Woods; his granddaughter, Abigail Grace Teruya; his brothers, Curtis Woods and Edward Woods, along with their wives, Connie Woods and Laverne Woods; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Taylor Woods and Robert Charles Woods Sr., and his brother, Robert Woods Jr. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on January 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Douglasville Seventh-day Adventist Church. All who knew and loved him are invited to attend and honor his memory.
