Victor (Vic) Acquarola, of Stagecoach, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the age of 82.
Vic was the beloved husband of 39 years to the late Dorothy (Dottie) Mae Renfroe Acquarola. Born in West Chester, PA, he was a proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby Township. The youngest of ten children, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Santoro Acquarola, and the cherished baby brother of the late Nicholas Jr., Peter, Frank Acquarola, Loretta Aceto, Florence "Dolly" Tate, Lena Curtosi, Eleanor Lyster, Mary Woelful, and Gloria Carroll.
Vic adored his wife and took immense pride in his children and grandchildren. He shared a special bond with each and every member of his family. They were the center of his world-whether he was cheering from the sidelines at countless baseball, softball, volleyball, and basketball games, or welcoming loved ones into his home with open arms and a heartwarming smile, he was always present, always supportive.
Vic also found deep friendships through his involvement in sports. His "bowling family" knew him fondly as "President," a fitting title for someone with a natural sense of diplomacy. He continued golfing into his 80s and played softball well into his late 50s. Determined to share in the adventure with his family, Vic even rafted Class IV river rapids in his 60s. He had a deep love for sports-whether playing or cheering from the sidelines-and thrived on the camaraderie and spirit of healthy competition.
Vic never met a stranger-he had a natural gift for conversation, a playful sense of humor, and a deep well of affection for everyone around him. He was a loving, supportive husband, father, grandfather ("PopPop"), uncle, and friend whose laughter, companionship, and warm hugs will be dearly missed. To many beyond his immediate family, Vic was like a dad, an uncle, a brother, or a beloved 'PopPop'-roles he filled with love, warmth, and generosity.
Vic is survived by his 5 loving and devoted children: Thomas (Tommy) Francis Miles, James (Jimmy) Nicholas Guerra, Jr., Robert (Bobby) Michael Guerra, Victor (Vic) A. Acquarola, Jr., and Dorothy Leigh Acquarola Cruz. He was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren: Thomas Victor Miles, Tianna Sanders, Zachary Miles, Robert Guerra, Jr., Victor Alexander Acquarola, Anthony Paul Acquarola, Olivia Mae Cruz, and Nolan Patrick Cruz.
Vic also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
For the service, the family requests that all who attend may wear a Hawaiian shirt, sports jersey
and/or casual attire in honor of Vic.
