Victor Manuel Ruiz, age 68, of Electra, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Electra with Rev. Sam Ferix and Deacon Davy Tolentino, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Victor was born January 10, 1957 in Eagle Pass, Texas to the late Victoriano L. Ruiz and Manuela L. Ruiz.
Throughout his lifetime, he was a self-employed handyman who could build or repair most anything he encountered.
Victor was a very giving person who was always happy, especially with his being a jokester. He had a particular love for music and socializing any chance he could. Victor was an extremely loving brother and uncle. He never had children of his own, but said his much adored nieces and nephews were his kids.
Survivors include one sister, Norma Ruiz Segura and husband, Ernest of Electra; one brother, Ralph Ponce and Connie Mayo of Electra; his brother-in-law, Carmen Ponce of Electra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Anselma Ruiz Ponce; one brother, Onofre H. Ruiz; three nephews, Eugene Ponce, Carmelo Ponce, Jr. and Onofre Ruiz, Jr.; and one niece, Julissa Jade Delarosa.
The family suggests memorials to St. Paul Altar Society, 1015 Lanelle Street, Iowa Park, Texas 76367.
