Vincent Saiz passed away peacefully at his home in Estancia, New Mexico, on June 9, 2025, at the age of 65. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
Born in 1960 to Leroy and Joann Saiz, Vincent was raised in Albuquerque, NM. After graduating high school, he married Ann Chavez, and together they brought three children into the world: Vincent Jr., Allison, and Edward. The family lived in Albuquerque and later spent five years in Cuba, NM, where Vince cherished time spent fishing with his children and playing baseball in the local men’s league.
A hardworking and versatile craftsman, Vince held licenses in plumbing, pipefitting, and welding. His skills took him across New Mexico, Colorado, California, and Arizona. Later in life, he discovered a passion for small metals and jewelry-making, designing unique and beautiful pieces that reflected his quiet creativity.
Vince had a deep love for the outdoors, especially the mountains of New Mexico. He enjoyed fishing, football, motorcycle rides, car and horse races, and a good cup of cafecito. Recently, he had undergone hip replacement surgery and was determined to recover in hopes of returning to the Pecos Mountains he loved so much.
Those who knew Vince admired him deeply. He was highly intelligent—insightful and quick-thinking in a way that often caught people by surprise. His sense of humor was warm, clever, and often delivered with a subtle charm that made others feel at ease. Though reserved, he was joyful, kind, and ever-present when it mattered most. He had a way of understanding others’ needs without words and offered his help freely and without expectation. His smile lit up a room, and his hearty appetite was matched only by his generous spirit. He will be profoundly missed.
Vincent is survived by his father, Leroy Saiz (Patti) of Aztec, NM, his sister, Rebecca Wasserman (Robert) of Aztec, NM; his children: Vincent Saiz Jr. of Bernalillo, NM; Edward Saiz (Stephanie) of Cuba, NM; and Allison Salaz (John) of Rio Rancho, NM. He leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Soliana Saiz, Eulalia Saiz, and Mavis Saiz. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew: Nicole Lane (Ryan) of Aztec, NM; Madison (Bryan Sharp) of Socorro, NM; and Michael Downey (Angelina) of Washington State.
Vincent now joins his mother, stepfather, and brother in eternal rest. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Time does create
Creations in time
Hands on the wall
Dormant they lie
The pendulum lollen
Suspended and fallow
True love awaiting
Lain ever so shallow
Torrential come rain
Break stagnant water
Yearning the dawn
Harnessed no longer
True love awaken
Enlightens the morrow
Thoroughly cleansed
Nourished - fulfilled
Time does create
Creations in time
