Vincent Charles Vidlak, age 81, of Grants Pass, died August 18, 2025 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
Vince was born October 8, 1943 at DeKalb, Illinois to Stanley & Marion Vidlak. On March 9, 1963 he married Sharon Castellano. He was a journeyman brick layer and stone mason in Los Angeles. After a vacation to Canada, the family moved to Grants Pass in February 1972 and in 1974 he started his own business, Vidlak Masonry. He attended dispensational theological seminary in Forest Grove and then became Pastor of Cascade Bible Fellowship in 1997 and was still preaching on the morning he died.
Vince loved spending time with his family. It gave him great joy to coach his kids and grandkids in baseball. He especially enjoyed watching his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in all their activities.
His big love was the Word of God. His Bible was his best friend and he was an extraordinary Bible teacher. He shared the Bible and the Word in ways that make sense.
Vince is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharon Vidlak; four children Vickie Spencer (Mike), Laura Saunders (Rob), Dan Vidlak (Stephanie) and Mark Vidlak (Becky); 17 grandchildren Amber, Adam (Ana), Ricky (Bryanna), Shannyn (Mikey), Emilie (Cody), Josh (Aria), Bree, Jake, JoJo, Ryan (Kaley), Gabe, Sam (Jaaden), Nate, Max, Titus, and Sofie; 11 great-grandchildren Kali, Everlee, Barrett Vincent, Zeke, Eli, Evee, Sadie, Daphne, Capri, and Mason.
He was preceded in death by his son Vincent Charles Vidlak, Jr; grandson Alex Vidlak; great-granddaughter Lylah Brown; and brother James Vidlak.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m., August 30, 2025 at Edgewater Christian Fellowship with his sons Dan Vidlak and Mark Vidlak officiating.
