Our dear mother, Violet Mae Burcher (Westover) passed away from this world into the loving arms of our Lord on July 8, 2025, at the age of 95. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great- grandmother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, love in abundance along with many prayers on our behalf. Her name was fitting to her, she loved color, especially purple, she was creative, her passion was interior design – she loved decorating her home. As a young woman, she drew dress and hat designs that were stunning. Christmas was her favorite holiday; her home was filled with light and warmth that welcomed all who entered.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents Austin Clark Westover and Helen G. Westover (Baumgardner), sisters Marjorie Westover, Kathleen Haddox (Westover), grandson Daniel Christopher (Chris) Wood and great-grandson, Kaleb Joseph Davis.

She is survived by her son Daniel Clark Wood (Deanna) and daughter Robin Lynn Davis (Rod); grandchildren Danine (Bill) Emery, Matthew (Diane) Wood, Stephanie Lynn Paumier (Dan), Gregory A. Davis (Joni), Joseph Wood, and Elissa Wood. 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Sister, Sally Moskowitz of Canton, Ohio. As well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th at 10:15 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville, 504 West Maple St., with Reverend Jared Rice officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Akron.

Robin I'm sorry about your mom. She was such a good person. I remember when she let me drive her car from your home on Massillon Rd to Stricklands and back( I didn't even have my license). She took me to get my driver's license in Barberton and I took my test in her big blue car. I'll always hold this memory close to my heart
