Ms. Barclay was born in Talbotton, GA on July 9, 1953, one of nine children to John Daniel Holloway, Sr. and Virginia Rose Barrett Holloway. She was raised in Buena Vista, GA and graduated from Buena Vista High School. She retired as a cook and dietician with Oak View Nursing Home in Waverly Hall. She was a very talented cook, making many memorable meals for family and friends throughout the years. She also enjoyed listening to music and caring for her plants. Ms. Barclay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Barclay; and siblings, John Daniel Holloway, Jr., John Carling Holloway, Douglas Lemmon Holloway, and Bertha Ann Lovegrove.
She is survived by her loving children, Maria Holloway (Jeffrey) Moss of Shiloh, GA, Michelle Dawn (Rolly) Hernandez of Nashville, TN, and John Maurice (Mayra) Graham of Mercedes, TX; sisters, Johnny Juanita (Steve) Howell of Talbotton, GA, Helen Diane (Tommy) Montgomery and Jody Lynn (Joel) Prawacki, all of Dublin, GA, and Tracy Holloway (Sarah) Eden of Mericopa, Arizona; and four grandchildren whom she deeply adored, Annaleigh Reilley Moss, Avah Reese Moss, Nicholas Jaxon Graham, and Dianna Gabriel Graham. Along with several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Holloway-Lumpkin Family Cemetery, 533 Horton Road, Talbotton, GA 31827.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ms. Barclay's honor can be made to Georgia Hospice Care.
