She was born on September 26, 1937 in Kenel, South Dakota to the late George and Laura (White) Bearking.
Virginia graduated from Pierre Boarding School in South Dakota.
On July 14, 1976, she married Kenneth Eugene Burnett in Rapid City, South Dakota. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1982.
Virginia was a homemaker and enjoyed Native American crafts and sewing Star Quilts.
She was a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in Fort Yates, North Dakota.
Surviving are her children, Maurice Noel Bearking of Indianapolis, Debra Jean (James) Plager of California, Denise Bearking of Indiana, John Noel of New Palestine, IN, Dianne (Dean Lucas) Bearking Lucas of Lafayette, and Genia Sellers of Indianapolis and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Noel.
Private Services will be held.
