Virginia Hazel "Nana" "Vichi" Martinez, age 42, of Amarillo passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Virginia was born in Hereford May 26, 1983, and lived in Amarillo for the past ten years. A light for many people, she always had a smile on her face with a heart of gold that would give the shirt off of her back for those in need. Virginia enjoyed dancing, the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech, Chuckie and Pennywise the Clown. She made ironing an artform and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Virginia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ramona R. Martinez; uncle, Alonzo Martinez; father-in-law, Pudente Ramirez; and her cousin, Kevin Lum Elliott. Virginia is survived by her wife, Magali Ramirez whom she met August 28, 2021 and found the love of her life in Virginia; sons: Jason Ramirez of Amarillo, and Noah Martinez of Hereford; daughter, Maria Ramirez of Amarillo; mother, Lupe Martinez of Amarillo; brother, Fausto Rivera of Amarillo; sister, Vivian (Jose) Bautista of Amarillo; nephews: Jordan Rivera and Jose Bautista; niece, Anayeli Bautista; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 29 and 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM Monday, June 30 where a celebration of Virginia's life will be held at 7:00 PM at Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors, 601 Main Street, Hereford. Committal service and burial will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 1 at West Park Cemetery, 800 Bradley Street, Hereford.

Virginia Hazel "Nana" "Vichi" Martínez, de 42 años, de Amarillo, falleció inesperadamente el jueves 19 de junio de 2025.
Virginia nació en Hereford el 26 de mayo de 1983 y vivió en Amarillo durante los últimos diez años. Una luz para muchas personas, siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro con un corazón de oro que le daría la camisa de la espalda para los necesitados. A Virginia le gustaba bailar, los Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech, Chuckie y Pennywise el payaso. Hizo del planchado una forma de arte y fue miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San Lorenzo.
Virginia fue precedida en la muerte por su abuela, Ramona R. Martínez; tío, Alonso Martínez; suegro, Pudente Ramírez; y su primo, Kevin Lum Elliott. A Virginia le sobreviven su esposa, Magali Ramírez, a quien conoció el 28 de agosto de 2021 y encontró el amor de su vida en Virginia; hijos: Jason Ramírez de Amarillo y Noah Martínez de Hereford; hija, María Ramírez de Amarillo; madre, Lupe Martínez de Amarillo; hermano, Fausto Rivera de Amarillo; hermana, Vivian (José) Bautista de Amarillo; sobrinos: Jordán Rivera y José Bautista; sobrina, Anayeli Bautista; y muchas tías, tíos y primos cariñosos.
