Virginia was born on September 5, 1945, in Centerville, MS, to Willie McCray Sr. and Laura B. Thompson-McCray.
She leaves to cherish her memories. 3 children: Ricky McCray, Terry Sims, and Tammy Sims Butler; a son at heart, George McCray Powell; 7 grandchildren: Terrea, Ebony, Kevin Jr., Kamron, Y'yanna, Brooklyn, and Blake; 2 sisters: Deloris Gearing and Ethel Pearl; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
