Virginia "Sue" Kathleen Raymond, age 71, of Mayville, MI passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at United Hospice of Aspire Marlette. Sue was born July 5, 1954 in Caro, MI to Duane and Dorothy (Meier) Farnum. She would first graduate from Vassar High School with the Class of 1972 and then go on to graduate from Great Lakes Junior College. Sue was married to Joel S. Raymond for many years. She worked as a lab tech and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mayville. Sue always looked forward to a good cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle or scratch-off ticket. She loved spending quality time with her friends and family, tending to her flowers, watching birds, and shopping at thrift and antique stores. Sue's life was a testament to the love she shared with her devoted husband, Joe, and their daughter, Melissa (Anthony) Dickenson. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild: Erin, Jenna (Craig), and Ava Dickenson. She was a sister, not only in blood to Pat and Joe (Carla), but also in spirit to many. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins held a special place in her heart, each one touched by her warmth and kindness. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Dorothy (Meier) Farnum; her stepfather, Floyd "Slim" Gillespie; and her siblings Larry and Rick Farnum, and sisters Beatrice Randall and Gerry Buckel. Sue's legacy of love and laughter lives on through the lives of those she touched. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 11 AM – 1 PM at Avram Funeral Home in Mayville. A memorial service will be held at Avram Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 1 PM. Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund in care of Melissa Dickenson. Friends may share an online condolence at www.avramfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St., PO Box 130, Mayville, MI 48744, Phone 989-843-5441.
