Wade A. Kutz, 67, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home.
He was born February 13, 1958, in Harvey, North Dakota, son of the late Wallace and Marlys (Locken) Kutz. On August 15, 1997, he married Sheila Guralski in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Wade worked as a PIV safety coordinator for 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota where he made many dear friends. Previous to 3M he followed in his family tradition of horse racing, traveling all over the United States and Canada. Wade made strong bonds with the owners, trainers, jockies and many others involved. His love for the sport and the people never left his heart or mind. Wade enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, and was always willing to lend a helping hand and never expecting anything in return. Every chance he had Wade could be found visiting with neighbors or local businesses in town where strangers he met became friends. He will be missed by many. Above all, his faith and family were most important to him and he never missed an opportunity to spend time with his children and grandchildren who lovingly called him "Papa".
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Kutz; children, Nathan (Mandy Jordan) Kutz, Amanda (Doug) Borchardt, Christopher (Jennifer) Borchardt, Jonathon Borchardt and Nick Kutz; grandchildren, Gianna, Grady, Shyan, Lincoln, Cooper, Alaina, Bennett, Ellie, Mia and Cecelia; siblings, Debbie (James) Rindy, Kenny Kutz, Stacie (Eric), Claire (John) Holth, Patrice (Scott), Margy (Keith) Larson, Carl (Sandy) Kutz, Connie (Jerry) Kutz, and Wes Kutz; yippy little dog, Braxton, numerous other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Kutz and a sister, Kathy Kutz.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Alan Wierzba will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service all at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski.
