A private burial will be held at Savanna Cemetery in Savanna, Oklahoma.
Wanda was born on April 30, 1932, in Stringtown, Oklahoma, to Willey A. and Maude Frances (Thomas) Kirk. She spent her career caring for others, working as a child care provider and later in the nursery at McAlester Regional Health Center, where she touched the lives of many young families.
On April 9, 1973, she married John L. "Johnny" Bussey in McAlester. In 1982, they made their home in Savanna, where they built a life filled with love and companionship. Wanda was known for her warm and friendly nature - she never met a stranger and was always eager to visit with family, friends, and anyone new she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her father, W.A. Kirk; her mother, Maude Frances Sam; and her daughters, Deborah Lewsaw and Sharon Turner.
Wanda is survived by her son, Elmer Dwayne Wilson; her grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
