Waneta Drake Obituary
She was a 1960 graduate from Wirt County High School, worked at Spencer's Manufacturing, and a custodian for Grace Baptist Church. She served many years as a Pastor's wife, and enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and cooking.
Waneta is survived by her husband, Pastor Paul Drake; their children, Mary Treadway (Jeff) of Vienna and David W. Drake (Wendy) of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Connor Drake (Holly) and Alexa Drake; great-granddaughter, Lorelai Drake; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Carter.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, with Pastor David Sommerville officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Family will welcome visitors on Wednesday, April 9th, from 4 – 6 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Lambert Tatman Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Waneta's final wishes and are honored to serve the family.
