Wayne R. Wiggin, Sr., 82, of Dover, NH, died peacefully in his home on the morning of Friday July 4, 2025, following a period of declining health.
He was born in Rochester on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1942, the son of LeRoy C. and Dorothy J. (Wiggin) Wiggin and had been a lifelong resident of the Southern NH/Seacoast area.
He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was employed as a truck driver for several different companies throughout his working career, retiring from H.P. Hood after 27 years. He then spent several years of his "retirement" driving a bus for First Student Transportation for the Dover NH school district.
He was an active member of True Memorial Baptist Church in Rochester NH for many years, regarding the people of the church and his responsibilities through the years as an extremely important part of his life.
Survivors include his wife of almost 61 years, Dorothy M. (Cammett) Wiggin, his son Wayne R. Wiggin, Jr. and wife Crystal of East Rochester NH, daughter Pamela J. Burnham and husband Wyman of North Berwick Me., son Jeffrey L. Wiggin of Nottingham NH, his sister Ann L. Downs of Lancaster NH, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by two half brothers, Harry and Clayton Wiggin.
Relatives and friends are invited to come Saturday July 12 for an hour of visitation at 9 a.m. at the True Memorial Baptist Church 21 Ten Rod Rd. Rochester, with a memorial service following. Memorials may be made to Options for Women 120 Washington St. Rochester, NH
