Ms. Wendy Lea Stanfield, age 62, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on July 7, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1963, to the late Bobby Jordan and Lorine Poole Jordan.
Wendy lived a life defined by love, purpose, and generosity. As a proud and devoted mother, her world revolved around her family. She poured her heart into raising them with care and joy, and later, into showering her grandchildren with the same warmth, laughter, and homemade pecan pies she was known for. Wendy found happiness in the simple joys of life-reading her Bible, hunting for treasures while thrifting, and spending quiet moments on her front porch listening to the creek. She found peace in those moments, especially when her family was nearby. A lover of camping under the stars, Christmas, playing pool, and preparing her famous dressing, Wendy brought life and laughter wherever she went. Her kindness was boundless; she helped anyone who needed it, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Her dream was to one day open a refuge for those in need-a place filled with the same compassion and safety that she offered everyone she met.
Wendy's legacy is one of love lived out loud. She leaves behind a family who adored her, memories full of laughter and grace, and a community touched by her light. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Her absence will be deeply felt by her surviving family, daughters, Raven (Ben) Pope, Desiray Stanfield, Destiny (Jack) Parker, Tia Stanfield, son, Shiloh (Gladys) Stanfield, grandchildren, Cayman Nicholson, Riley Pope, Addy Nicholson, Wyatt Nicholson, Mason Miller, Miles Miller, Willow Barnes, Billie Ann Barnes, Felicity Evans, Zander (Raven) Evans, Jazzman (Brian) Puddick, Brantley Hamrick, Spencer Stanfield, Grayson Stanfield, Lexi Stanfield, Anzley Stanfield, Hayden Roland, Noah Bagwell, great-grandchildren, Ryder Evans and Ryker Puddick, sisters, Wanda Young, Wansley Wilson, brothers, Wesley Jordan and Israel (Leighann) Justice.
The family will receive friends for visitation at their home on Monday, July 7, 2025, at four in the evening until nine at night.
Wendy's graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at nine in the morning at the Stanfield Family Cemetery with testimonies of love from her family.
