Willana Faye (Wright) Stamper, age 91, of St. Michael, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 26, 2025.
Born on March 22, 1934, in Lawrence County, Ohio, Willana was the daughter of Andrew and Beulah (Thompson) Wright. She grew up in Ohio, where she later married and lovingly dedicated her life to raising her family.
A devoted homemaker, Willana poured her heart into caring for her eight children. She was known for her warm and generous nature, always cooking hearty comfort meals like goulash and fried chicken, and making her famous fudge-never in small batches, always enough to feed twice as many people as were present. Her home was a place of welcome and abundance.
Willana found joy in tending to her many houseplants, dancing whenever she had the chance, and working on puzzles. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and reflected her vibrant spirit.
She was preceded in death by her Husband John Stamper, children John Allen Stamper, Rita Ramstorf, and Teresa Borg; and siblings, James Wright and Joy Vititoe.
She is survived by her children, Nadine Schaffer, Annie Rincon, Rhonda Newkirk, Jhonda Stamper, Vonda (Jim) Reynolds; 25 grandchildren; 40+ great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 at 5:00 PM with visitation beginning one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel – 300 Main Street N, St. Michael, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com
