William Clarence Burell, of Castroville, Texas, passed away June 29, 2025 at the age of 69. He was born April 13, 1956 in Castroville, Texas, to Victor Lee Burell and Lucia Rymers Burell.
On February 13, 1985, William married Ernestine Tondre in Castroville, Texas. They were blessed with forty years of marriage. William worked for over thirty years for H-E-B as a construction supervisor before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Burell of Castroville; daughters, Heather Tondre Mojica of San Antonio and Shannon Menard (Bubba) of Quihi; grandchildren, Easton Mojica, Rylan Mojica, Brandon Benites (Brittney), and Ashley Benites; great-grandchildren, Caydan Harper and Logan Calamaco; mother, Lucia Rymers Burell of Castroville; brother, Freddy Burell of Castroville; sisters, Darlene Alonzo (Richard) of La Coste, Lillian Alvizo (Martin) of Castroville, and Rachel Rodriguez (Jesse) of Castroville; sister-in-law, Sara Flores of Castroville; as well as numerous in-laws and relatives.
William was preceded in death by his father; brother, Wesley Flores; and numerous in-laws and relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
Memorials may be made in William's memory to the St. Louis Catholic School Building Fund.
