William A. Faulkner (Bill), passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at his daughter's home in Smyrna, DE.
Bill was born on August 10, 1922, the son of the late Laura and Alfred (Batie) Faulkner. He was one month away from his 103rd birthday. In addition, Bill was predeceased by two step-brothers and two step-sisters.
He is survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Daryl Jester, with whom he resided in Smyrna; a grandson, Drew Jester and his wife Heather of Townsend. DE and two great-grandchildren, Darren and Kylie Jester of Townsend.
Bill was a farmer in his younger years and a proud retiree from Playtex in Dover, where he dedicated 38 years of service. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity, humor, and unwavering support.
Bill's interests were a reflection of his friendly and engaging personality. He was an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a Sunday race. He loved to go to Spence's Bazaar in Dover looking for bargains and hanging out with the "boys" (none younger than 80).
Wednesday and Saturday mornings were spent at the Middletown Diner with his favorite waitresses, and enjoying the best breakfast ever! One of his favorite pastimes was riding around with his son-in-law, Daryl, often going to Woodland Beach and watching for ships.
As we bid farewell to Bill, we celebrate a life well-lived and a journey well-traveled.
Services will be private.

I knew Bill from the Flea Market(Spence“s ). He always came to my table and chatted for awhile. He spoke about his daughter all the time. He was proud of her. He was a kind man. RIP Bill.
