William Flynn Obituary

MILLBURY/SHREWSBURY- William P. "Bill" Flynn, 52, of Millbury, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born in Worcester to the late Vincent P. "Vin" Flynn and Filomena "Choppy" (Mastrogiovanni) Flynn. Raised in Shrewsbury alongside his four siblings, Bill graduated from Shrewsbury High School. He worked as a master plumber at the family business, V.P. Flynn Plumbing and Heating, alongside his father for many years before joining Eversource as a distribution technician.
Bill had an adventurous spirit, and enjoyed many motorized sports including snowmobiling, motocross and go carts. His natural aptitude for mechanics was evident in his many hobbies. You could often find him rebuilding or repairing the equipment he used for these sports. Bill patented a touchless glove machine- a project that filled his family with immense pride.
Bill was known for his dry sense of humor and could make anyone laugh with his witty remarks. He was always willing to assist anyone in need, regardless of the time. His generous and kind nature made him beloved among friends and family. Bill frequently volunteered to assist the less fortunate at various soup kitchens or participating in gift drives. His fun-loving personality and unwavering support made him a cherished friend and community member.
Bill is survived by his loving siblings: Christine M. Davolio and her husband, Frank, of Shrewsbury; Maureen A. Massad and her husband, Paul, of Boylston; Thomas J. Flynn and his wife, Tara, of Hubbardston; and David M. Flynn of Shrewsbury and his fiancée, Claudia Pinzon. Additionally, he leaves behind seven nieces and nephews-Ryan, Samantha, Brody, Kaden, Nicole, Ashley, and Joseph-as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill's family on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 AM at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 11:30 AM at Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will take place later date.
