William “Ray” Hilburn was born on September 3, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 18, 2025 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 75.
He retired from working in construction as a roofer for almost 50 years. He loved going to the beach and relaxing with his family. Ray also enjoyed watching movies and his favorite TV Shows, like Yellowstone, Landman, and Lonesome Dove. He had a talent for cooking and grilling and his family will definitely remember his famous tamales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Juanita Hilburn; brothers, David Hilburn and Wesley Milsap; daughter, Katie Chance; granddaughter, Sierra Hilburn; and grandson, Levi Deberry.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Barbara (Gibson) Hilburn of Port Neches, Texas; children, Bobby Ray Hilburn of Shreveport, Louisiana; Angela Wilson and husband, Tommy Miller of Granbury; Jason Hilburn and wife, Kelli of Lake Whitney; Christopher Hilburn and wife, Brandy of River Oaks; Clayton Hilburn and wife, Jenny of Red Oak; Garrett Chance and wife, Mary of Port Neches; Shellie Lopez of Port Neches; Logan Nadeau of Port Neches; Candice Deberry of White Settlement; and Bryan Deberry and wife, Britnel of White Settlement; grandchildren, Malachi, Noah, Sebastian, Blaze, Jasmine, Dalton, Charlie, Salaee, Halston, Hallie, Harley, Christopher, Lacey, Justin, Jade, Braydon, Clayton, Jewel, Meadow, Carlos, Legend, Maverick, Pyper, Katie, Chasity, Skylee, Ryan, Dorothy Faye, Brillee, Brogan, Lala, Logan, Breanden, Cobin, and Evelyn; as well as 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion Bacon of Fort Worth and Frances Alvey of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 28, 2025 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
Funeral Service will also be held at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 29, 2025 with interment following at Oak Wood Cemetery in Fort Worth.
