William Owen Parker "Bill" (73) of Supply, NC went to his heavenly home on the morning of Tuesday July 15, 2025. William Owen was born in Columbus County on February 29, 1952, and was the son of the late Owen and Fannie Locklear Parker of Boardman, NC.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Cartrette, Joyce Parker, Janice Sanderson and one brother, Ray Parker.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Parker. His children, Angela Parker, William Matthew Parker (Crystal), River Parker and Stepchildren, Dawn Simpson (Tim) and Bruce Powell. His Grandchildren: Abby Cook (Randall), Kait Evers, Brandon Batten, Brantley Batten, Amber Bragg (Shawn), Marcus Baker, and Alex Powell.13 Great Grandchildren. Two sisters, Helen Stephens and Sandra Ivey. And a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Parker was a devoted employee for the Fluor Daniel Corporation as their Principal Estimator in Energy & Chemicals for 40 plus years. This allowed him to travel to many different countries in all parts of the world to use his expertise in several multi-million dollar projects. Even after retirement this seemed to never end as he continued to mentor his fellow co-workers.

Mr. Parker was also a very proud Football fan of the Clemson Tigers and always loved to show his support for the team with his season tickets.

Mr. Parker also had a passion for hunting, fishing, and developing projects. Whether it be through work or even at home while doing landscaping, gardening, preserving fruits and vegetables or building just about anything imaginable. He also enjoyed special moments with his wife, rocking on their front porch while watching the boats pass along the waterway until sunset.

While being led by Christ, Mr. Parker never missed the opportunity to help others in need with his many acts of charitable deeds and contributions, especially, involving children and elders throughout the community as well as other parts of the world. This was a huge part of his testimony!

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Boardman Baptist Church Cemetery. Senator Norman Sanderson and Rev. Jim Woodruff will officiate.
