Laura Lesky Blevins (Guelette) and Rich Guelette
March 27, 2025
To Bill "aka" Billy as your mother and father would always call you. Rich and I (Laura) are so very sorry for your loss. We were lucky to have both Kenny and Faye as our neighbors for many years. They both adored their Billy and were so very proud of you.
In 1995-96, my 1st husband Joe started the foundation for our home. There was a "No Chickenhouse" sign someone put on our property when we arrived that we knew nothing about. Kenny came over and introduced himself and admitted it was his sign. He and Joe talked construction. He and I talked horses. He told us about local speed traps and his favorite places.
Kenny was a tough old cowboy. At least that is what he wanted people to think. He loved going to the Cowtown Rodeo every Saturday night of the season. It was nice having our love for horses in common. He had his own tough love way of doing things. But on the inside he had a big heart. When I was recently divorced from Joe, Kenny called to check on me after snow storms, power outages and even after an earth quake. He cared and I truly appreciated him checking in. It was nice to know they were both there if I needed anything.
When Rich and Kenny met they quickly had a unique bond. Rich was not phased by Kennys tough outer shell and would would poke fun and made him laugh. He kept Kenny laughing , sometimes it was even at himself. Rich liked helping him out whenever he could. They talked about everything over the years and learned a lot about and from one another.
I just wanted to share with you a little bit from our side of the fence.
We know he has had so many health battles over the years. We will miss him but we are glad he is no longer in any pain. Your mom has been waiting for him to come join her and they are together again. I bet he is riding in that big rodeo in the sky.
Please let is know if you need anything or including help with the horses.
Sincerely, Your neighbors Laura Lesky ( aka Blevins ) Guelette, Wyatt Blevins and Rich Guelette
