William Ross Sword, a beloved jack of all trades, was born on January 30, 1947, in Panama City, Florida. He passed away on June 27, 2025, in Marianna, Florida, leaving behind a legacy defined by his diverse skills, and service to his country.

William honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, a testament to his commitment to his country. Throughout his life, he embraced a variety of trades, exemplifying the spirit of versatility.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Sword, and his children, Tonya Sword, Andrea Boone, and Daniel Sword. He also leaves behind stepsons Larry Thomas and his wife Michelle, Randy Thomas and his wife Susan, and Lamar Thomas. His cherished grandchildren, Brittni and Megan Eggleston, along with Arianna and Malachi Boone and his fiancé Hailey Whigham and Jonathan Sword, as well as a great-grandson Mason Boone, were a source of immense pride and joy for William. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Regina Kincaid, and her husband Jim.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Thelma Juanita Sword, as well as his brother, John Dallas Sword, and John's wife, Ann. He also mourned the loss of his first wife, Sonya Sword.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lighthouse Church in Fountain. This will be followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, honoring Williams life.
