Robert Sisson, 83, of Springfield, formerly of Kilbourne, passed away at Mill Creek Care Center at 9:46 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born December 6, 1941, in Kilbourne, Illinois, to Horace Franklin Sr. and Ruth (Lynn) Sisson. He married Sharon Hawke on July 15, 1961. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1978. He later married Linda Ward in 1989. She survives.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda, of Springfield; two children: Cress (Heather) Sisson, of Auburn, Illinois, Kari (Greg) Lutchka, of Chatham, Illinois; six grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and two great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Sandra Ebert, of Kilbourne. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon; and two siblings: Horace "Bud" Sisson, Jr., and Deanna Butler.
Bob attended church at St. John's Lutheran Church, in Springfield. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #724, in Chandlerville, for over fifty years. He was a barber for fifty-seven years in Oakford, who could talk to anyone who visited his shop. He didn't know a stranger. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, watching Cardinal baseball, Raiders football, and Indiana University basketball games.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Private burial services will be held at a later date at Oakford Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Sharon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oakford United Methodist Church. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.

Our condolences to the family of Bob. I remember seeing him in Oakford at Aunt Lucielle and Uncle Ham's place when we would stop by. Always had a smile.
