OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA

OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Willie Ray Boyd, age 90 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2PM on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Reverend Jason Strong will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Forest Corner Cemetery near Forest, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

A time of visitation will be held from noon until time of service on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove.

Mr. Boyd passed into eternal life on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Union General Hospital in Farmerville, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Cornelia (Mayo) Boyd; his father, Willie Virgil "Kinky" Boyd; and his mother, Idell (Morse) Boyd.

He was a retired mechanic for the Louisiana Department of Transportation. He served on the West Carroll Police Jury for a number of years. He was a welder and he owned and operated a dirt service for a number of years.

Willie Ray is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny & Shannon Boyd of Farmerville, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Charon Boyd of Wagoner, Oklahoma; daughter, Darla Boyd of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Garry & Cathy Boyd of Glenpool, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, Walter Eugene "Genie" & Mary Boyd of Oak Grove; brother and sister-in-law, Russell & Carolyn Boyd of Wagoner, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Jean Worley of Decatur, Texas; sister, Betty Lou Stallings of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Marilyn Mills of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Lillie Sue Powell of Norman, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: David Boyd, Kyle Sandifer, Lucas Boyd, Tristan Boyd, Dusty Boyd, Kelly Poston, and Don Bass.
